Samsung Captivate Vs Iphone 4 – A Matter Of Taste

For those of you who don’t know what the Samsung Captivate is, this article comes to clear that.

The Samsung Captivateis the AT&T version of the Samsung Galaxy S, the main competitor for the iPhone 4. This model is not a reinventing of the Samsung Galaxy S but just a facelift with almost the same specifications. This model was introduced on the US market in order to counter Apple’s supremacy on the smartphone segment of the market.

The Samsung Captivate is equipped with the same Super AMOLED touchscreen that equips the Samsung Galaxy S and offers a better looking experience than that of the iPhone but as a downside the level of detail is lower and so choosing it solely by the screen features is a matter of subjective taste. You can go for live colors but give away the details or go for less color and more detail; it’s all up to your needs to decide what you want.

When it comes to browsing the internet the colors, even with the Super AMOLEDscreen, are somewhat unnatural and even opening in preview mode of photos this characteristic that the manufacturer is not proud with can be seen. Unfortunately, the iPhone 4 has another strong point in internet browsing as the number of pixels in the Retina Display is higher and offers a better reading experience. The Android operating system doesn’t work to good with pinch and zoom so the iPhone 4 still rules in this segment.

Fortunately there are good parts in the Samsung Captivate that the manufacturer offers and clearly out stand the iPhone such as the HD 720p format video recording capability in which the Samsung Captivate clearly dominates. Unfortunately, the Samsung Captivate will replay the movies recorded with the camera less fluent as the iPhone will use a 30 FPS for making the user satisfied.

There are many weak points and strong point of both terminals but they are similar in many ways so the winner of this market competition is for up to the users to decide. Some say iPhone because it has lots of apps but that’s no longer a problem and the Android Market is a growing place for Android apps. Some will say that the Samsung is more reliable and customizable but there’s also the jailbreak option for the iPhone so this entire duel between the two terminals is never ending and even the price can’t settle this fight.

It all is a matter of choice and preferences. The Samsung is more transparent but the Apple is more beautiful.
