Since Nokia is the last manufacturer who admitted that they did not manage to match iPhone 4, we thought it would be fun to compare Nokia E7 with iPhone 4. The Smartphone from Apple is thin having 9mm, a width of 59 mm and a length of 115 mm, while E7 has a width of 62 mm and a length 124 mm and it’s also a bit thicker; measuring 14 mm. The weight is also different, iPhone weighing 137 grams while Nokia has 176 grams.

The chapter where iPhone is sitting great is the 3.5 inches touchscreen with 640 x 960 pixels resolution with a scratch resistant surface, multi touch and accelerometer. Nokia E7 has a 4 inches touch screen with 360 x 640 pixels resolution, Nokia ClearBlack, multi touch and also and accelerometer and scratch protection on the screen. For those who not know, Nokia ClearBlack is a technology which was launched at Nokia World 2010 and which reduces the reflection of the light on the screen, improving the visual quality especially on the bright spaces. So ClearBlack means that the black you see is really black.

They both have 3.5 mm audio jack and that’s good because a few smartphones today have this feature. What iPhone doesn’t have for a long time is also what E7 doesn’t have now and that’s the infrared. In exchange they both have GPRS, EDGE, 3G, Bluetooth and USB 2.0.

Apple managed to design a 5 mega pixels camera with 2592 x 1944 pixels for iPhone while Nokia is well known for impressive smartphones with large cameras. E7 has an 8 mega pixels camera with 3264 x 2448 resolution and a dual LED flash. Another thing that’s great about the iPhone 4 is that it has auto focus. The photo cameras allow video recording in pretty good conditions: iPhone – 720p with 30 fps and E7 – 720p with 25 fps.

Nokia has 432 hours battery lifetime in 2G and up to 9 hours of calls in 2G while the iPhone lasts up to 300 hours in 2G and up to 14 hours of calls in 2G.
